Not only did the Victorians think it was fashionable to drink milk.... They also thought it was a wonderful idea to make pretty jewelry out of past loved ones hair. Yes please! I would like one.

That's an awesome bit of jewellery. Have you discovered that you can be cremated and turned into a diamond? It's a modern take on memento mori.
ReplyDeleteDiamond people?! Just utilizing the natural carbon in our bodies and pressure? Very interesting! I will have to look into that. I have always known the latin memento mori/memento vivre but did not know it was a genera until googling just now. The Danse Macabre inspired pieces have always been some of my most favourite. Will probably post about that very soon:)
